Module 1 -  Benefits
:

AMIS uses the standard ATA system for classifying major systems/subsystems on the aircraft.  Log Book defects (PIREPS) and rotables changes are tracked accordingly.

Log Book write-ups (snags) generated by the pilots (and mechanics on their pre-departure inspections) are entered into AMIS, along with rectification/ deferral actions taken, including any number of rotable changes.

With this data, the condition of each aircraft can be displayed instantly.  Reporting can be by tail number, by fleet, by ATA Chapter/Subchapter, etc.  AMIS can be used to brief the pilots on aircraft condition status.

Aircraft with repeating problems are identified for special consideration and follow-up action.

Delays and Incidents data are recorded and reports are produced for management analysis/action.

A monthly status report details all accountable delays and incidents that have been reported.
