Module 5 -  Benefits
:

There will be fewer AOG's and nil-stock situations when the material and purchasing modules are used.

AMIS can be used to control all types of inventory, not just aircraft parts.   Inventory items are controlled by batch number so that the origin of material used can be positively identified.

AMIS is a multi-stockroom system with no limits to the number of stations, or stockrooms at a station.

Mechanics and other users are able to identify what they need from parts catalogs that are displayed by AMIS.  They can then either review the stock status at one or all stations, or, if they have the authority, demand the part from stores where a pick slip is printed.  Issues are made against a particular need, such as a Work Order, Kit, etc.

Reservations can be generated for known future requirements, or when a nil-stock situation arises.

Requisitions are automatically generated in the system for Purchasing when re-order levels are penetrated.  Automatic P.O.'s may also be generated for designated items.
